Contest Rules & Eligibility

“Each entry must come from an integrated design team consisting of a minimum of three key members, including at least one licensed or certified Engineer and one licensed or certified Landscape Architect. Other key team members may include architects, planners, hydrologists, restoration ecologists, soil scientists, landscape horticulturists, arborists, and other disciplines critical to the successful design of LID.

The inclusion of team members from other disciplines, including land development, homebuilding, landscape design, and construction disciplines, is strongly encouraged. Plans are in place to have a separate student competition, but students are also free to participate on design teams.

Submission Guidelines

Yes, when you first register you will need to submit a $250 registration fee.

  1. Register your team and submit the $250 entry fee.
  2. You’ll receive an email once we receive payment that includes details on your unique ID# and where to submit your files.
  3. Files must be submitted no later than 4:00 pm on February 9, 2016.
  4. On February 23, 2016, finalists will be announced. Finalists will receive an email and will also be posted on this website.
  5. Finalists will have 7 minutes to present their entry, verbally and through use of Power Point, to a qualified local Jury Panel on March 8, 2016.
  6. Winners are announced after presentations are complete. There will be a total of (3) $10,000 cash awards, one for each project.

General Questions

Finalists will be announced on February 23, 2016. They will be posted on this website and all entrants will also receive an email stating they are a finalist.

Entry submittals must be received by 4PM on February 9th, 2016.
